Flip-flop tour for the young and young at heart
Explore the city of Salzburg at a leisurely pace in a relaxed atmosphere
Explore the city of Salzburg with sprezzatura in a relaxed and informal setting.
Humour and amusement are a must.
The classic Salzburg tour is spiced up with a few modern additions.
We start the tour fairly "classically" at Mozartplatz in front of the Mozart monument (Ludwig Schwanthaler 1842).
In the 19th century tradition, we follow in the footsteps of Charles Baudelaire (1821–1867) and channel our very best "dandy-flâneur" as we stroll through Salzburg"s Altstadt.
Meanwhile, our flip-flops – a 21st century feature – symbolise effortlessness and a carefree attitude towards life.
Alongside the highlights of the city, we devote time to discovering the lesser-known aspects and peculiarities of the Altstadt.
We visit long-established Salzburg businesses such as "Knöpferlmayer" and the Salzburg institution "Sporer". Recently, a number of Salzburg people have opened coordinated concept stores, such as Feinerlei. They attract happy customers with their coordinated, hand-picked product ranges and flawless service.
A visit to a gallery sharpens our focus on the local contemporary art scene.
The works on the "Walk of Modern Art" in the heart of the city are easily accessible by foot – as well as by flip-flop! Works by internationally renowned artists such as Anselm Kiefer, Erwin Wurm, Marina Abramovic and Stephan Balkenhol are showcased here. These works introduce us to the contemporary art concept of "the aesthetics of reception".
And, of course, the tour would not be complete without a refreshment stop at a Salzburg coffee house. These temples of temptation offer an indulgent selection of delicious pastries and traditional coffee house specialities.
This tour offers a unique way of spending time with friends and colleagues.
It is also perfect for stag parties or school reunions.
